Interspersed with witty banter, humorous anecdotes, hilarious antics, and pusillanimous puns, these two pirates bring a different kind of
lively upbeat entertainment to whatever they happen to be doing!
With a combined 50 years of performing experience, Richard Brentar (Captain John Stout) and Vincent Polowy (Droolin' Jack Porter)
bring a wealth of talent and vivaciousness to the stage and street.Richard Brentar has been performing music for almost 30 years, in
classical, folk, rock, and jazz genres.
Richard attended the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music and graduated with a degree in Music History and Literature, where he
specialized in early music and bass trombone performance. During high school and college and after, Richard performed in over 75
musical and theater productions in almost every aspect; on stage, in the pit, behind the scenes, and as a director. He has been
performing on the Renaissance Faire circuit for over 10 years, performing all around the nation. Richard has also performed
overseas in Germany, France, Holland, England, and Wales.
Vincent J. Polowy has been performing since he was five years old. Since then his love for magic, music and performance has grown,
as well as his knowledge and ability in the arts. He is a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM), the Magicians
Alliance of Western New York (MAWNY) and is a founding member of “The Gathering“. He has performed all across the United
States at schools, theatres, festivals, renaissance faires, universities and at major theme parks including Sea World and Six Flags. He is
a dedicated performer, having toured throughout the United States as a puppeteer, performing and conducting workshops with adults
and children of all ages. Vincent has toured schools throughout Western New York, conducting assembly programs for Western New
York United Against Drug and Alcohol Abuse. He performed as a member of the Hands Down Puppet Theatre, of Buffalo, New York
and has worked extensively with the internationally recognized Das Puppenspiel Puppet Theatre, of Westfield, New York. Vincent has
performed at the Louisville Children's Theatre (KY), the Birmingham Children's Theatre (AL), Artpark (NY), Chautauqua Institution
(NY), The New England Puppetry Series (MA), with the Lake Charles Symphony Orchestra (LA) and with Red [an orchestra] (OH)
with renowned puppeteer Basil Twist. Vincent performed at the White House for President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy in
the "Salute to the President. Vincent is a founding member of The Eclectic CirCus" performance ensemble and the
Shattered Shakespeare company, as well as The Dickens' Carolers, a four-part harmony, acapella vocal group. He has appeared in
several films, including The Summoning of Everyman and the second part to H.B. Halicki's cult classic Gone in 60 Seconds 2. He is a
professional theatrical designer, with credits at theatres all over the east coast including The Cleveland Playhouse (OH), The Paul
Robeson Theatre (NY), The Beck Center For the Arts (OH), Theatre Hopkins (MD), Ensemble Theatre (OH), The 1891 Fredonia
Opera House (NY), Cleveland J.C.C. (OH), The Fine Arts Association (OH) and Cleveland Public Theatre (OH). Vincent performs as
a clown and teaches classes and workshops on clowning, magic, puppetry and technical theatre. He has performed as a professional
musician for over twenty five years, performing many different styles of music, from classic rock and heavy metal, to jazz, classical,
country, R & B and polka. He plays guitar, bass guitar, trumpet, piano and electronic keyboards, drums and assorted percussion. His
love for magic, music, theatre and performing make it a pleasure for him to bring his magic to your audience.
